The floral smocking on this 1940s dress is so sweet!  Lightweight, light blue cotton.  The bodice and patch pockets had large-scale smocking with floral corners in the diamonds.  Short sleeves and fitted waist.  Gathered skirt.  Side metal zipper.  Unlined.   Adorable!
